Happy Easter to all of my former comrades from the 317th Eng. Btn. If anyone knows when next reunion will be let me know. God Bless You All.
I was in D company,3rd platoon from 1972 - 1974. It was a great time for me at the ripe old age of 18. As a pvt. I got to spend a lot of time getting to know and clean the tools in my pioneer tool box. It did keep me out of KP duty a lot of times. It was fun to get some experience with a 5 ton truck and bucket loader. One of my best times was attending Explosives and Demo school in Vilseck. It was fun blowing stuff up, but taking the class seriously. SFC Sandoval was a great platoon sergeant, he had a good repoire with the platoon, Anyways, I won’t ramble on anymore. A great learning experience.
I love as stationed in HHC 317th camp Eschborn from about 79-81. Just looking for buddies and fellow soldiers. I was in water point but served as armorer for a good while. I remember some people by name like SSG Cotton and Capt Kanimine, met a lot of good people wish I could remember names. One in particular helped me so much. During a bad time I had there. SGT James or John something.
Hello from Eschborn, remember the camp where tody are furniture warehouses, car dealers etc. As a child we had first contact with your members and learned about baseball, football and the PX.Had been an interesting time. Best Regards Thomas
Was in HHC 317th Eng Bn from 80-82 at Camp Eschborn Germany. I stayed in trouble. Finally got my honorable discharge in June 1982 and went back to NYC. Was in unit supply with a guy named Mullins and another one whose first name was Tom. All I remember was that big inflatable gym and the chicken I used to get from the NCO club. I was there when a guy named Fushee got into a run in in Frankfurt and a local was killed. He was from Philly but when they took him away that night, never saw him again. Heard he was in Mannheim awaiting a trial, but that was it.

Was in H&S C0. S-4 from Jan 1954 to April 1955. Some names I remember are- SGC Funk, Capt Cowan, Capt Connut, and I think the H&S CO was Capt. Dufflemeyer (not sure of the spelling). Don 't remember the Battalion CO. When I got there a Lt Col. Was CO. He was replaced with a full Col. In the summer or fall of 1954. Can anyone help me with the names? I have pictures of many and can put last names to most. Enjoyed my time at McNair and with the 317th.
Hello again from SGT Ross Pearson. I forgot to mention in my last message that I was in Co. B from 73 to 76. One of the things I forgot to tell was the incident at Wildflicken when we were having a locker inspection. My buddy from Louisiana named Trick wrapped a plain rock up in aluminum foil. When SFC Whitington found it he took off to Capt. Meredith office to show him what he found. What a funny incident. Whittington was platoon Sgt. and I believe Sgt Thomas from Mobile was 1st Sgt. I remember going to club and trading Tony the pizza guy wine for pizza. So many memories to think about . When we were in Wildflicken we got to go to that walled city called Rothenburg. I guess the best trips I got to go on were to Garmisch and Berlin. I will post more later. Later guys. I still want to know when next reunion will be..
I was attached to H/S co. in 317th eng batt in 1954 1957 when it was in Mcnair Kersene Hochst Germany.
