Ismael Garcia Jr

November 10th, 1970 - January 22nd, 2011

Ismael passed away at the age of 40 in San Antonio, Texas. He proudly served with Alpha Company, 317th Engineer Battalion in Desert Shield/Storm and more recently, in Afghanistan and Iraq. Ismael is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. 

Obituary

SFC Ismael Garcia, Jr. passed away January 22, 2011 at the age of 40, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born November 10, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois.

SFC Garcia proudly and honorably served his country as part of the United States Army as part of the XVIII Airborne Sky Dragons based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. 

He had been deployed to the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm, and has served in both Afghanistan and Iraq in recent years.

Ismael is survived by his loving family, wife, Mirta; three children, Cristina, Nicolas, and David; mother, Reyna Guevara; and brother, Leonardo Guevara. He was preceded in death by his step father Vance Augustyn.
