Kevin Lynn Sottile

June 3rd, 1971 - December 12th, 2015

Kevin passed away at the age of 44, at his home in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Kevin spent almost 12 years in the Army, serving with Alpha Company,  317th Engineer Battalion. Kevin deployed with the 317th to Operation Desert Storm. While in the Army, Kevin achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Obituary

Kevin Lynn Sottile, 44, of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his residence.

Born July 3, 1971 in Washington County, MD he is the son of Linda Sue Palmer Sottile of Fairplay, MD.

He was a 1991 graduate of Williamsport High School and shortly after graduating he enlisted in US Army. He had served in the US Army for 11 1/2 years as Staff Sergeant. Serving in Desert Storm, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.

He was employed by Amtrac Railroad Contractors of Hagerstown, MD. 

Kevin was compassionate about artistry, truck driving, and loving his family.

He was a volunteer firefighter with the Bedington Fire Company where he earned the rank of Captain after previously serving as Lieutenant for six years. In addition to his mother he is survived by wife, Tracie Lynn Abbott Sottile; one son, Biker Sottile; one daughter, Kirstie Sottile; two step-daughters, Jessica Currence and husband, Timothy and Brianne Lechliter; one grandchild, Nicholas Currence; maternal grandparents, Betty Snook and Donald Palmer; one sister, April Sottile; one nephew, Bryce Sottile; and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Bedington VFD, Bedington Road, Martinsburg.
